This is a wish-list, not a list of committed plans. As time goes by, these will be prioritized, and the less important features dropped. If you absolutely must have a feature, please tell us, preferably on the mailing list so other Resin users can chime in or disagree.

This is the highest priority for Resin 1.2. The goal is to have at least the capabilities of WebLogic. The main reason for multipart/mime is actually better i18n form handling. File upload support is just gravy.
    • Automatic detection of resin.conf changes by mod_caucho.
    • Some sort of distributed management support (this may be packaged separately.)
    • A limited configuration GUI for beginners and simple servlet changes (again, this will probably be packaged separately.)
WebDAV extends HTTP to a full-fledged filesystem protocol. With WebDAV, you can publish a site without having to use ftp.

My understanding is that IE 5.0 and FrontPage 2000 already support WebDav. Unfortunately, emacs doesn't yet.

The VFS implementation of the http: scheme will also be upgraded to understand WebDAV.
